阿雅母、賽特、維克是狄德拉（魔族）文字的字母，就像希臘語的阿爾法、貝塔，黑精靈語用狄德拉文字書寫，所以這個稱號就是他們名字的首字母A S V。這也解釋了在發條城泰瓦尼大師菲爾拒絕稱自己的老朋友賽特，就像哈利 波特拒絕稱伏地魔“那個人”。事實上，我們可以看到遊歷了過去未來的索薩希爾只是理性地執行着在自己死後的某一天用發條城爲衆生重塑奈恩這一使命而已。而菲爾是在拒絕承認在索薩希爾成爲賽特的那一天，他那位沉默寡言的老朋友就已經徹底死去了。
